  • Online Registrations is preferable or at Clubhouse from 10 am
  • Regatta Nomination:  $40 OR casual entry $10 per heat/Juniors $20 OR casual $5 per heat (Plus $10 for each crew)
  • Sailing Instructions available on registration
  • The Regatta will comprise all 5 Heats with best of 4 to count
  • Scoring will be the low point system
  • The regatta will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) and the Prescriptions and Special Regulations of Australian Sailing (AS) Part 2 shall apply.
  • All classes welcome
  • Presentations and Lunch 1.30 pm
  • Catering by Lake Keepit Sailing Club ($40 includes Saturday dinner, Sunday breakfast and lunch)
  • Payment for Nomination and Meals may be direct deposited to Lake Keepit Sailing Club Inc,

NOTICE OF RACE

1          RULES

1.1        The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.

1.2        The Prescriptions and Special Regulations Part 1 of Australian Sailing shall apply to all Sports boats and Trailable yachts.

1.3        The Prescriptions and Special Regulations Part 2 of Australian Sailing shall apply to all off the beach boats.

2          ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY

2.1        The regatta is open to the following classes:

  • Off the beach Boats
  • Sports Boats
  • Trailable Yachts

2.2        Eligible boats may enter by completing the attached Race Entry Form and sending it, together with required fee, to lakekeepitsailing@gmail.com by 8pm on Friday 4th March 2020.

2.3        Entries may be accepted on the day at the discretion of the organising authority.

3          FEES

3.1        Required fees are as follows: $40 OR casual entry $10 per heat/Juniors $20 OR casual entry $5 per heat (Plus $10 for each crew)

3.2        Payment via Direct Deposit (Lake Keepit Sailing Club Inc BSB 032 625  Account 560 151) or at registration at Clubhouse on Saturday 5th March 2020.

5          SAILING INSTRUCTIONS

The sailing instructions will be available from the Clubhouse after 10.00am on Saturday 5th March 2022.

6          THE VENUE

            The venue shall be Lake Keepit 7 km off the Oxley Highway between Tamworth and Gunnedah

7          THE COURSES

The courses to be sailed will be issued in the Sailing Instructions.

8          SCORING

            When five (5) races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score.

9          RADIO COMMUNICATION

Except in an emergency, a boat that is racing shall not make voice or data transmissions and shall not receive voice or data communication that is not available to all boats.

10        PRIZES

Prizes will be awarded at the discretion of the organising authority.

11         DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY

Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See RRS 4, Decision to Race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury, or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.

12        INSURANCE

Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover of $10,000,000.00AUD per incident or the equivalent.
